Then I landed in Hawaii and got a text from Shavon: 'You can’t go to Hawaii and miss the view.' I thought she was joking. But when I checked in, she had upgraded me to an Ocean View, with premium sheets, no less. That was a $250 per night difference, and would’ve cost me an extra $1,500 for the trip.
